The House by the Cemetery (1984)

The Boyle family moves into an old home in the New England countryside.
Mr. Boyle is a researcher investigating the suicide of a colleague.
There's something really creepy about the house, though, and the new
babysitter. Bizarre things start to occur and the Boyles learn that
this house has a bloody history behind it, and a dark secret lurking in
the cellar.

The House By The Cemetery opens like any slasher movie should, with some nudity (albeit brief) and a bloody death. However, the rest of the movie is inconsistent. Another forty minutes goes by before the next murder. The dialogue is uninteresting, the dubbing for 'Bob' is atrocious, and there are some unanswered...
