War (2007)

After his partner Tom Lone (Terry Chen) and family are killed apparently by the infamous and elusive assassin Rogue (Jet Li), FBI agent Jack Crawford (Jason Statham) becomes obsessed with revenge as his world unravels into a vortex of guilt and betrayal. Rogue eventually resurfaces to settle a score of his own, igniting a bloody crime war between Asian mob rivals Chang (John Lone) of the Triad's and Yakuza boss Shiro (Ryo Ishibashi). When Jack and Rogue finally come face to face, the ultimate truth of their pasts will be revealed.

I was very excited when the time finally came to watch War, starring action stars Jet Li and Jason Statham. I actually expected it to be very good. After the first 10 minutes of the movie, I knew I was wrong. With the big advancements in editing technology these days, it seems directors are using it a lot to "spice" up...

'War' is a pure adrenaline rush, a well-crafted action movie that is sinfully and mindlessly entertaining. Jet Li is phenomenal, the undisputed star of this film, 44 years old, but still capable of amazing acts of physical prowess and agility. This is a man's film. They really should be selling brats and beer in the theaters for attendees. Anyone going to a film with jet Li or Jason Statham should know what to expect.
