Most people can watch movies about violence, horror and gore and be grossed out but go home and wash that away. I'm sure a couple will have nightmares or sleep with the light on for a couple of weeks, but very rarely is anyone affected by a horror movie deep enough to do permanent damage.
I guess that's what this movie is...
