I wish I hadn't seen the trailer for "Sunshine" a number of months ago online. As soon as I saw it, I started to get worked up and excited about the new film from director Danny Boyle ("Trainspotting", "28 Days Later"), writer Alex Garland ("The Beach") and star Cillian Murphy ("28 Days Later", "Batman Begins", "Red Eye)....

'Sunshine' is an absorbing, cerebral science fiction thriller in the vein of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Tarkovsky's Solaris, or rather, more like Soderbergh's remake of that film. It is committed to plausibility, going so far as to list a scientific adviser in its credits, but I wonder if it comes closer to actual science...

Lately, I have been seeing a lot of good movies, mainly because thats all I have been choosing to watch, and for a very strange reason, I really like this movie. It was one of the more "underground" Danny Boyle films to be released in a while, but it still got some attention by many. I saw 28 Days Later, but not...
