In 1953, a doctor named Seuss wrote a book,
It is really quite good, you should have a look.
There have been many films made, in the decades since,
Based on the doctor's other works, most would make you wince.
Turns out, all it needed was some fine work by comedic actors,
And a lot of great, colorful CGI animation to bring...

Eh.
This was one of my most beloved books when I was a kid, (both this and "Horton Hatches an Egg") second only to Dr Suess' "The Sneetches." There is a great deal of heart in this story and a wonderful meaning to it, that protecting life - as an environmental example, much like "The Lorax" but with a more happily...

...ok, so that might not be the word for word quote...and I'm sure it isn't MY favorite...but my boys have been repeating it for days, then exploding into peals of laughter....ah the joys of potty humor.

I volunteered to take some nieces and nephews to see 'Horton Hears a Who', an adaptation of what happens to be their favorite Dr Seuss book, which they have read and have had read to them more times than I could count. It was, for the most part, a charming little film, with terrific animation, though it fails to outdo...
