Ratatouille (2007)

Brad Bird (The Incredibles) co-directs this colorful Pixar offering, following the antics of a passionate rat named Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) who yearns for a sip of the good life. Growing up beneath a five-star Parisian restaurant owned by a famous chef (Brad Garrett), Remy inherits a taste for fine food. But his culinary ambitions only anger his practical father, who wishes his son could just eat garbage like everyone else.

What a lovely movie! I went to see it twice, which is not a bad idea for animated films. The first visit is more about following the story and the second is more about the animation itself, the camera angles, and the overall direction. RATATOUILLE (Dir. Brad Bird, 2007) When walking out of the matinee I asked the common after-movie question to a friend who attended with me - "so, what did you think?" He said "it sucked! This movie was very entertaining. I will tell you though, if you get creeped out by rodents, the sounds of the little feet are very realistic. I have even heard that some people left the movie because they couldn't take thinking about rats in the kitchen. I didn't have that problem so I'm giving this my stamp of approval.

So, I've been hearing people call Ratatouille the best and most original Pixar film yet. I do agree that this is very original and quite amazing, but I don't agree that it tops films like The Incredibles, Finding Nemo and Toy Story.
With that said, I do however believe that this is the best film I've seen so far this...
