Ratatouille (2007)

Brad Bird (The Incredibles) co-directs this colorful Pixar offering, following the antics of a passionate rat named Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) who yearns for a sip of the good life. Growing up beneath a five-star Parisian restaurant owned by a famous chef (Brad Garrett), Remy inherits a taste for fine food. But his culinary ambitions only anger his practical father, who wishes his son could just eat garbage like everyone else.

Simply put Ratatouille is the second best film I saw in the year 2007, (number one was Atonement.)
Pixar has gone above and beyond with this simple story about a rat who loves the art of cooking and wants to pursue it and rise above his lot in life. Through some twists and turns he winds up in one of the best restaurants...

A little piece of info that I love to tell people. Patton Oswalt, the comedian who provides the voice of the main rat Remy in this flick, has the same birthday as me, January 27th. Not that you would care or anything, I just like to point it out because Aquarians just plain rock.

"Ratatouille" was written and directed by Brad Bird who also directed another Pixar movie, "The Incredibles." Now that was one of the few movies made that actually lived up to it's name. Here, we follow the story of Remy who ends up getting separated from his family and ends up getting washed away under the sewers and ends...
