I'm not a big fan of Ashley Judd. I never have been and I always wonder why I keep trying to like her. I've seen almost everything that she's been in, perhaps in just my twisted way of watching everything just to make absolutely certain that I don't like someone (like my masochistic streak in watching Scorsese).

Bug turned out to be a different type of film other then what I had expected. Plot summaries are great to read but the one that I read (not on this site) gave me a totally different vision of what the film actually turned out to be.
I must say that this film started off on the wrong foot with me. For the first 5 minutes...

This film fits right in with Polanski's Repulsion. Those looking for typical horror will be disappointed with both films. This is the slow psychological horror that takes some effort to appreciate.

I didn't buy it for a second. Shannon's character is so obviously over-the-top, bug-eyed crazy, that there's no way anyone is going to fall under his sway, even Ashley Judd's beaten-down, exhausted character. I just don't believe that anyone could fall so much under the influence of another as to buy into his delusion this...
