  Surf's Up (2007)

description written by member Zara:

Just when you thought you couldn't get enough penguins, this time we're adding surfboarding birds to the mix. Following a young penguin with hopes of becoming a surfing champion, it seems more like another excuse to capitalize on the popularity of the little black and white birds.

Surf's Up Movie Review by Matthew (6/25/2007)

I have a lifelong love of good animation. This is why I consistently go to films like "Open Season", "Meet The Robinsons" and "Cars", always searching for that next great piece of animation. You know, the type that can rival "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast:" or "The Incredibles" and remain a classic for future...

Surf's Up Movie Review by Zombie Boy (6/9/2007)

Normally I don't review movies that are quite this current or mainstream (not in a snobbish way - I just prefer to bring to light lesser-known gems), but I have to eat crow on this one. I didn't want to see it, thought it looked horrible, and only went because my daughter was apparently going to DIE if she didn't see...

Surf's Up Movie Review by Zara (6/9/2007)

It's yet ANOTHER penguin movie, the third that has been released in the last few years and the second which is animated. I went to this movie this afternoon under duress, but I did so because My Midget had been a very good girl this week in order to earn her viewing.

What I discovered was that I actually enjoyed this...

Surf's Up Movie Review by Ryan Midnight (12/15/2007)

Coming in on the tail end of the penguin craze, Ash Brannon (co-director of TOY STORY 2) and Chris Buck (co-director of Disney's TARZAN) along with writer Don Rhymer (whose other writing credits will not be given space here) send up the sports movie genre in this animated "family movie" that uses pseudo-documentary and...

Surf's Up Movie Review by Krissy (6/15/2007)

I took my four year old to see this movie. She really liked. However; had my six year old been with us instead of hanging at a friends house we would have left soon than we did. I don't want to sound snooty, but at one point in this movie a penguins gentitals were blurred out. In another scene Cody and Lani are under a...
