Grindhouse (2007)
description written by member Tim:
A new take on the movie theater experience. Two separate full length films, one directed by Quentin Tarrantino and one by Robert Rodriguez. It even includes fake movie previews between the two films. The first film is called "Death Proof," it follows Kurt Russell as a stunt man who stalks his victim with his car. the second flick is called Planet Terror in which a small town has an outbreak of infected people called "sickos." (Also features fake trailers directed by Eli Roth, Rob Zombie and Edgar Wright.)

I don't want to give you anything about the film(s). Just get your ass out there and...

"Grindhouse", the double feature showcasing new films by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, tributes to the types of films with titles like "Werewolf Women of the SS" and "Death Trap", films containing violence, sex and as many other types of lurid behavior as you can imagine, is a sensory overload type of...

You can't look at Grindhouse up against Volver or Children of Men. You have to judge it in the same weight class. There you will see a champion. It's a loud, bloody, long homage to the cars, corpses and copulation Z-pictures of the 1970s that captures reverence for the medium that was evident in the original "grindhouse"...
