Pride 2007

Jim Ellis (Howard) is a black college graduate that cannot find a job. He has a love for competitive swimming and he decides to remodel a vacant pool hall in Philly. Things are going great until city officials mark the building for wrecking. Jim makes a stand and fights back by starting the first African American swim team.

Sometimes a movie is not technically good, but it is still worth watch anyway. I generally find that sports movies fall into that category.

I title this jokingly, for once I popped in the DVD for PRIDE, I was bombarded by trailers for "inspirational" black stories narrated in that "inspirational" voice-over that they use for trailers to try and make every movie seem like it's more important than it is.
