  Children of Men (2006)

Children of Men envisages a world one generation from now that has fallen into anarchy on the heels of an infertility defect in the population. The world's youngest citizen has just died at 18, and humankind is facing the likelihood of its own extinction. Set against a backdrop of London torn apart by violence and warring nationalistic sects, Children of Men follows disillusioned bureaucrat Theo (Clive Owen) as he becomes an unlikely champion of Earth's survival. When the planet's last remaining hope is threatened, this reluctant activist is forced to face his own demons and protect her from certain peril. (read more)

Children of Men Movie Review by Zara (1/18/2007)

First of all, great concept. With all of the people in this world either fighting in wars, fighting about NOT being in wars, fighting to use infertility treatments or fighting that infertility treatments are science's way of playing god, there's a little something in it for everyone.

However, this really ISN'T a flick for...

Children of Men Movie Review by Matthew (1/3/2007)

In 2027, the human race is dying. No one is able to give birth and the last child, born over eighteen years ago, has just died. With no hope, governments are toppling and England is one of the last civilized countries still standing. Naturally, this makes them a magnet for immigrants from around the world and the...

PS- I had written this review on my old profile, this is my new profile. Thank you.

Set in 2027, when no child has been born for 18 years and science is at loss to explain the reason, African and East European societies collapse and their dwindling populations migrate to England and other wealthy nations. In a climate of...
