Yes it's true it's been done before. There's nothing new under the sun. But that doesn't change the experience of watching this movie. Contemporary and relevant and achingly beautiful. Inspired acting. Emotionally haunting music. Intellectually stimulating, subtle dialog. Dry?...possibly, in the eye of the beholder.
