  Invincible (2006)

"Invincible" focuses on Vince Papale (Wahlberg), who in 1976 was a 30-year-old bartender who answered the call when incoming Philadelphia Eagles coach Dick Vermeil decided to shake up his team by holding an open tryout. Papale was among a swarm of fans, but he was the only one left standing by the end of the tryout. (read more)

Invincible Movie Review by Zara (2/11/2007)

Disney really knows how to put together a convincing trailer. Hell, they managed to rope me in with their preview of THE ROOKIE, a movie that subsequently sucked. They did it again when they came out with the ads for THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED. They completed the sports movie genre trifecta with INVINCIBLE.

This is the...

Invincible Movie Review by Matthew (8/30/2006)

I am about as far removed from the category of "Sports Fan" as one can get. I don't like them. I don't like to watch them. They don't make sense to me. Football, basketball, baseball, hockey. They are all lost on me. Yet, I continue to go and see films based on memorable figures in these activities. In the last few years,...

Invincible Movie Review by Chris (10/8/2007)

Vince Papale, known as one of the best special teams/receiver known to football. Playing on the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1980's, he walked on the field as just in hope of trying to make it, and he walked out an Eagles player. The film is rough, memorable and Walt Disney has created a film that gives us all hope and shows...

Invincible Movie Review by Movie Addict (6/10/2007)

You've seen it in Rocky, Rudy, and probably many other films. Little guy gets a chance and shines in the big game.

This is based on a real character who walked on to the field and played pro ball for three years. It's a great story and made even more so by the fact that his friends were really suffering at the time with a...

Invincible Movie Review by Andrea (5/7/2007)

I think the acting could have been a little better and they could of had more about him being in the NFL but I guess this is what you get when they put a real life story on screen. The background of his life was good but I can't be the real judge of that since this was only the second time I had heard his name. I knew...
