  My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)

Breaking up is hard to do, but sometimes it can be downright dangerous. In the Ivan Reitman comedy "My Super Ex-Girlfriend," Matt Saunders (Luke Wilson) thinks he's finally found the perfect girlfriend, the beautiful Jenny Johnson (Uma Thurman) - who just so happens to be a superhero. When Jenny/G-Girl becomes overly possessive, Matt wants to call it quits – but how do you break up with a superhero? A scorned woman, Jenny/G-Girl unleashes on her ex the full fury of her super-powered wrath as she sets out on a no-holds-barred mission to bust up Matt's budding romance with his co-worker Hannah (Anna Faris). My Super Ex-Girlfriend Movie Review by Zara (2/19/2007)

It's nice to know that there are actresses of a certain age who are still held up for being attractive despite having more candles on their cake. The problem is that good looks never make a film, whether you're younger or older. There's no great appeal to having a film about a woman who's a little bit older being...

My Super Ex-Girlfriend Movie Review by Max (7/28/2006)

I haven't seen any well made movie staring a superheroin, and to be truthful I still haven't. What's interesting about My Super Ex-Girlfriend is that it is in a way, Superman with the roles reversed. The role of the damsel in distress is now a gentlemen, and the superman character is replaced with a tacky G-Girl who is an...

My Super Ex-Girlfriend Movie Review by Matthew (7/25/2006)

****
When I first saw the trailer for "My Super Ex-Girlfriend", starring Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson, I was pretty sure the film would be a stinker. Yet another example of the preview revealing any and all good jokes.

But I went anyway, purchasing my bargain matinee ticket. Why? For you, devoted reader. For you.

I was...

My Super Ex-Girlfriend Movie Review by Movie Addict (7/28/2007)

OK, I'm a sucker for Uma Thurman and Eddie Izzard. Actually, I prefer Izzard as a transvestite comedian, but I'll take a chance as an actor.

Luke Wilson (Hoot) is not having luck finding a girlfriend despite the best efforts of his buddy played by Rainn Wilson (House of 1000 Corpses). He hooks up with supergirl, actually...

My Super Ex-Girlfriend Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie (3/6/2007)

Sometimes you should just believe the hype.

But no, I thought that a movie with Uma Thurman as a superhero would have to kick ass, right? I mean, come on! She is Beatrix Kiddo!

Alas this film sucks the big one. It starts out all right, an interesting concept to be sure as Luke Wilson falls for the alter-ego of G-Girl...
