Owen Wilson has made quite a good living on doing the lazy, slacker, yet lovable goofball role for quite some time. There are some genuinely sweet moments in this film. Owen Wilson plays that friend we all have who cannot seem to grow up or get a handle on their futures, but we love them anyways. He is fun to watch, as usual, but falls by the wayside of the dull script and the dull work by Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson.
