Superman Returns (2006)
Following a mysterious absence of several years, the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in the epic action-adventure, Superman Returns, a soaring new chapter in the saga of one of the world's most beloved superheroes. flying, statistically speaking, it's still the safest way to travel. That is just one of many examples on how Bryan Singer paid homage to the original 2 Superman movies. The downside to that is that he did very little that was new. I can't say I blame him for this; in fact I might have done the same thing in his position....

I am not a Superman fan, which is why I've taken so long to get around to this film. Since it's release, I have probably watched Batman and Spiderman several times each. So don't talk about the best Superman movies, as I am not interested. I look at this on its own merits.
First, I was immediately grabbed by the titles....

As summer blockbusters go, Superman Returns will probably end up in the same grey area that movies like Minority Report end up in. The movie was good, but it just didn't have that certain something that makes a movie great.
