Poseidon (2006)
When a rogue wave capsizes a luxury cruise ship in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, a small group of survivors find themselves unlikely allies in a battle for their lives. Preferring to test the odds alone, career gambler John Dylan (Josh Lucas) ignores captain's orders (Andre Braugher) to wait below for possible rescue and sets out to find his own way to safety. What begins as a solo mission soon draws others as Dylan is followed by a desperate father (Kurt Russell) searching for his daughter (Emmy Rossum) and her fiancé (Mike Vogel), a young couple who hours before couldn't summon the courage to tell him they were engaged and now face much graver challenges. But not that I actually think about it, it was one of those films that tried to be for everyone. It was historical, had a lot of action and good special effects, and had a rinky-dink love...

OK, so the only reason I watched this was to see Emmy Rossum. I grant you that a disaster film will not let anyone shine as an actor, but I don't care. I can't get enough Emmy. She is certainly much more watchable than Shelly Winters.
There was some great visual effects, and stunt work was super. Besides Emmy, Kurt...

If I could give 0 stars, this would be the movie to give it to.
First of all, we have Richard Dreyfuss trying to kill himself.
Then, he changes his mind once he finds out he's screwed because of the rogue wave.
Then, he kicks Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under, Can't Hardly Wait, and others) in the FACE to save his own...
