As a fan, I am sorely disappointed in the performance of Hugh Grant in
this film. Maybe it was the writing, but he just wasn't funny. Yes, it had to be the writing.
Dennis Quaid and Marcia gay Harden were much better as thinly veiled
caricatures of George and Laura Bush, but the characters were still

I've never been a big fan of Mandy Moore. I hadn't really listened to her music and she more or less poisoned me to her acting skills when I made the mistake of watching A WALK TO REMEMBER. So color me surprised when she was my favorite part of this odd little movie.

So, this parody of American Idol, W & Laura Bush, terrorism, and other silly parts of American life was a fun fluff piece. I enjoyed the movie. I won't be watching it again because its not a movie that needs to be watched again. The jokes won't be all that funny a second time around and well, there really is no message....
