V for Vendetta 2006

Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as "V." Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V ignites a revolution when he detonates two London landmarks and takes over the government-controlled airwaves, urging his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself – and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption. I dont know whats been missed out to make this movie length and i dont care. Anything that...

V for Vendetta Movie Review by hannah jack (10/24/2007)

I know what you're thinking already: what kind of a name is V For Vendetta? Talk about stating the obvious! But seriously, the film is a lot better than it's juvenile title initially suggests. Centered around a masked, slightly weird freedom fighter vigilante fortunately named 'V', the film, (I think, it wasn't the most...

V for Vendetta Movie Review by Andrew (9/28/2007)

V for Vendetta can be marked as a major success for both the Wachowski Brothers and DC Comics.
Comic book adaptations are hit or miss. "Spiderman" and "X-men" have set the bar high, so films like "The Hulk," "Electra," "Catwoman" and "Daredevil" look even worse when they fall flat on their faces.
The Wachowskis...

V for Vendetta Movie Review by Movie Addict (5/20/2007)

James McTeigue brought the skills he learned as an assistant director on such films as Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions to his first job as director in this film. He created a great film, written by the Wachowski brothers and starring Natalie Portman of the...
