If you know me then you know that it turns me off to an extreme to have any type of rappers or singers in a motion picture. I remember a month ago picking up 16 Blocks and seeing that MOS Def was in it and I threw it back on the shelve faster then you can say GARBAGE. Three things:
1) Mos Def is going to be and deserves to be a star. He can flat out act, he is funny, he has comedic timing, and he's got presence. There is a still picture of him at the end of this film that says it all. Plus he's one of the few rap artists I sill listen to.
2) This film is very good, for it's genre....

When I first read the description of this movie, my reaction was negative. I could not believe that they would try to remake The Gauntlet. Eastwood and Locke played the perfect parts in a story of a burned out cop trying to buck the odds and get a witness to the courthouse.
