Fantastic Four (2005)
When an experimental space voyage goes awry, four people are changed by cosmic rays. Reed Richards, inventor and leader of the group gains the ability to stretch his body, and takes the name, Mr. Fantastic. His girlfriend, Sue Storm, gains the ability to turn invisible and create force fields, becoming the Invisible Girl. Her little brother Johnny Storm gains the ability to control fire, including covering his own body with flame, like a Human Torch. Pilot Ben Grimm is turned into a super-strong rocky Thing. Together, they use their unique powers to explore the strange aspects of the world, and to foil the evil plans by the likes of Doctor Doom, which is who the villain of this film will be. Even as they deal with the various threats that arise to threaten Earth's peace, the Four must also deal with the pressures of fame as the world's most famous superheroes, and the realities of being a super-powered family. There's a lot of posturing and preening between the stars of this movie, even though the characters are supposed to be new to their super powers. Still, director Tim Story and his cast have fun...

First of all, it was preceded in 1994 by an insanely low-budget Roger Corman-produced epic of cheese which was made...

When you raise the bar really high, future examples in the genre have to meet or exceed that standard to become memorable. Hitchcock raised the bar so high, even he had trouble meeting the public's expectations of his films late in his career. With the phenomenal success of "Spiderman 2" and "X-2", and the critical success...

I liked this movie and I don't care who knows it. I have heard from many people that this movie was terrible and a waste of time, not only in the set up, but the action sequences as well. Don't get me wrong, I have issues with this movie as well, but they are limited to dork fan boy beefs that only a comic fan would...
