Land of the Dead 2005

description written by member Tim:

George A. Romero's Land of the Dead is another addition to the "Living Dead" franchise. This time just like animals, even zombies evolve and become smarter. The human population has divided into two groups, the wealth and the poor. The wealthy hide in a state of the art set of condos with full protection and every amenity possible. The poor live on the streets where drugs, prostitution and hunger follows. Follow a man on a journey to get away from the city and find peace away from what he thinks the true enemy is.

Land of the Dead Movie Review by Chris (2/23/2009)

'George Romero's Land of the Dead' shows the definitve return of the master horror director after 20 years, in which he took a massive break from the series after doing Day of the Dead in 1985. 'Land of the Dead' breaks through the survival aspect of it all though, and this time looks more towards humans fighting back at...

Land of the Dead Movie Review by Zombie Boy (12/13/2007)

Here there be massive spoilers for Land of the Dead.

Okay, I loved it. It got off to a rocky start, but picked up speed along the way. This is definitely the softest touch of all the Dead films, and that is not to it's detriment, in my opinion. Whereas the other films were simply about survival, this one went for...

Land of the Dead Movie Review by The Alpha Craig (10/28/2007)

..... when they were alive or something.

Okay I know I horribly misquoted that, but the idea was in interesting one. What if, amidst all of the madness, Zombies just want to peacefully coexist? Yeah I couldn't keep a straight face through that thought either. Seriously thought it does make you wonder why the brain is such...

Land of the Dead Movie Review by Movie Addict (4/11/2007)

Simon Baker leads in this film as a mercenary who wants to head up North. Maybe the undead do not like the cold. He finds himself trapped between various factions, including a ruthless CEO (Dennis Hopper) who offers safety to the wealthy while allowing the unwashed masses to fend for themselves, a fellow mercenary (John...

Land of the Dead Movie Review by Joe (6/13/2006)

1968 brought us George Romero's directoral debut "Night of the Living Dead." Then, in 1978, Romero returned with "Dawn of the Dead." Then in 1985 he directed "Day of the Dead."

Then, from 2004-2005, there was a resurgance of the popularity of zombie movies. There was "28 Days Later," "Dawn of the Dead" (a terrific...
