Seed of Chucky (2004)

In this fifth installment of the popular killer doll series, this film stars Glen which is the son of Chucky and Tiffany. Glen sets out on a mission to Hollywood to bring his parents back from the dead. Chucky and Tiffany start murdering quickly and to Chucky's surprise, Glen does not approve.

OK, I have succeeded in watching all the Chucky movies. Is that a big accomplishment? Well, this one was really funny. It is a real laugh-fest, not a horror movie.
Jennifer Tilly is in it throughout and that alone makes it worth the time. She has to be the best screamer in Hollywood, and not too bad to look at either.

The original Child's Play was a terrifying to me as a kid, but by part 5, the series has become a hallow shell of it's former self. I was willing to forgive Bride of Chucky's slide into self-parody, because, at a few points, it was actually funny to a fan of the original trilogy. Seed of Chucky, however, beats the joke to...

What I appreciate about this movie more than any other horror movie is that it is willing to make fun of itself. Unlike the sequels to Friday the 13th, Halloween, even Nightmare on Elm Street...Child's Play director Don Mancini (he's directed every Child's Play movie) knows how to poke fun at his villanous demented...

I got dragged along to this one. I knew it was going to be awful, but it surpassed my expectations. Billy Boyd should have stayed away from this one. But for some reason, I can always excuse Jennifer Tilly...
To be honest, I've never liked the Chucky movies, so I'm not a fan as it is.
