Serenity (2005)
The film centers around Captain Malcolm Reynolds, a hardened veteran (on the losing side) of a galactic civil war, who now ekes out a living pulling off small crimes and transport-for-hire aboard his ship, Serenity. He leads a small, eclectic crew who are the closest thing he has left to family - squabbling, insubordinate and undyingly loyal. When Mal takes on two new passengers-a young doctor and his unstable, telepathic sister-he gets much more than he bargained for. The pair are fugitives from the coalition dominating the universe, who will stop at nothing to reclaim the girl. (read more)

I am not a Josh Whedon fan as I have never seen "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Firefly", or "Angel." I am judging the movie on it's own merit, and I found it to be really exciting and a good story.

The above...

Now, Whedon has the opportunity to take...

What would you expect from Joss 'Buffy' Whedon? Indeed, the man can write. I have no doubt that you, your friends or family has succumbed to some Buffy-esque vernacular. A world of no? Disagree much? Hmmmm.... It seems that not everything the Josster touches turns to gold, from the ashes of the quickly cancelled space...

I have long been a Joss Whedon-addict, due to his amazing series: 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel', as well as his being a long-time writer for my favorte sitcom: 'Roseanne'. So a few years ago when he introduced a new show, a cowboys in space show, I was a little skeptical. After all, this is the, arguably, first...
