A History of Violence (2005)
A thriller from director David Cronenberg, "A History of Violence" stars Viggo Mortensen as a pillar of a small town community who runs a diner and lives a happy and quiet life with his wife and two children. I watched A History of Violence twice. Once by itself and once with the commentary. I wanted to watch it again, as it has captured my imagination like few movies. Watching Viggo Mortensen change back and forth from Tom to Joey was amazing. The subtle changes in his face as he changed roles is a tribute to his acting...

Five things got me interested in "A History of Violence":
1) It's based on a (supposedly very good) graphic novel.
2) In an interview on the Daily Show, Viggo Mortensen said it was the best movie he's done... and come on, he was the king of Middle Earth.
3) A reviewer on NPR said he couldn't think of a single thing wrong...
