In an extremely rare decision, the Catholic Church officially recognized the demonic possession of a 19 year-old college freshman. Told in terrifying flashbacks, "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" chronicles the haunting trial of the priest accused of negligence resulting in the death of the young girl believed to be possessed. The Exorcism of Emily Rose isn't as scary as one may think it might be, but still manages to be a very disturbing film. When you walk into the film, you may be expecting something similar to "The Exorcist," but it it's really quite different.

When I went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose, I was expecting nothing more than what I've come to expect from current PG-13 'horror' movies (jump scenes, pointless CGI, dull story).
Thankfully this movie had nothing of the sort.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose was "based on the true story of Anneliese Michel, a young German...
