just when i thought the horror industry was in dire need of some great assistance, aja delivered the goods which saves the near lackluster genre. in fact, he delivered them so well the film garnered an NC-17 rating which is quite impressive. thankfully, we are able to get this unedited version on dvd. high tension has all...

High tension is a perfect name for Alexandre Aja's (The Hills Have Eyes, P2) film. After what seemed like a slow start, the tension picked up to were I was strung wire tight, as was Cécile De France (The Spanish Apartment).

I'm not a big fan of dubbed movies so I was a little dubious about this one when I realized it made in French and dubbed in English (give me the subtitles any day), but it wasn't so bad.
