Monster-in-Law Movie Review by Ezra (2/13/2007)

Wow, I didn't know movies could be this unfunny. Apparently, Jane Fonda came out of retirement to do this film. Guess we won't be seeing her again for a while. Not only is this film completely unfunny, it is actually offensively unfunny, particularly in the instances of Wanda Sykes's character, a sassy black woman that...

Monster-in-Law Movie Review by Seth C (2/3/2006)

There was no getting out of this one, guys, I had to see this J. Lo / Jane Fonda debacle at some point or my very meaning relationship with my girlfriend would have been jeopardized. Granted, I'll admit, at first glance this film didn't look too bad (first glance, mind you), however after this standard romantic comedy took...

Monster-in-Law Movie Review by Elizabeth (10/30/2005)

You know how sometimes, you just want to watch a mindless, unchallening movie that provides an entertaining, but easily forgettable, 90 or so minutes? That's what I was looking for when I rented Monster-in-Law this weekend. Mindless it is, but entertaining it is not. When this came out, it was accompanied by much...

Monster-in-Law Movie Review by Shells (9/24/2005)

It is a cute movie. Drags a bit at first, but after awhile has a sweet sense of humor. It is not a bad date movie to see. After awhile of understanding the plot which is pretty basic, you start to think maybe these characters remind me of someone I know or have been in my life. This movie is worth seeing at least once.

Monster-in-Law Movie Review by Lance (6/18/2005)

J-Lo and J-lower in “Monster-In-Law”, but director Robert Luketic, the Australian master of the homogenized comedy, like “Legally Blond” and “Win A Date With Tad Hamilton”. Luketic does what he does well here, and once you get over the fact that J-Lo can not act at all, it’s almost an enjoyable little comedy....
