Based upon JJ Connelly's London crime novel, "Layer Cake" is about a successful cocaine dealer who has earned a respected place among England's Mafia elite and plans an early retirement from the business. However, big boss Jimmy Price hands down a tough assignment: find Charlotte Ryder, the missing rich princess daughter of Jimmy's old pal Edward, a powerful construction business player and gossip papers socialite. Sylish, involving, maybe too complicated
A successful cocaine dealer (Daniel Craig) wants to retire. Everyone seems to know this and wants him to help with one last project, errand or favor. Jimmy (Kenneth Cranham), his boss, wants him to help find the daughter of a rival, Eddie (Michael Gambon). The daughter has slipped...

A great twisted tale about drug dealers starring new Bond Daniel Craig. As the film moves through its complex plot and perfect stylization, you become more and more invested in Craig's nameless hero. He discovers how deep the corruption of those around him and learns that perhaps this life is not for him.
The pitch...
