Alone in the Dark (2005)

Private sleuth Edward Carnby (Christian Slater) specializes in weird supernatural phenomena. Now, a great mystery of his past is about to become his most dangerous case. With the help of his ex-girlfriend, archaeologist Aline Cedrac (Tara Reid), and his rival, government agent Richard Burke (Stephen Dorff), Carnby learns that just because you scoff at something, that doesn't mean it won't pose a dangerous threat.

To be honest, I'm going to have to rewatch this movie in order to really have the right rating for it. I was watching it the other night and fell asleep about 2/3rds of the way in (no comment on the movie, I was just sleepy) and it mistakenly got sent back to NetFlix before I could watch the portion that I dozed off...

When I saw that rottentomatoes.com gave this movie a 1% rating, I thought to myself, "Self, there is absolutely no way a movie could be that horrible!" So I got the movie ($2.00 sale) and watched it.
And I was right. It wasn't that horrible. It was worse!
It just seemed to me that director Uwe Boll just 'borrowed'...
