Imaginary Heroes (2005)
Tim Travis is walking through his life like it's a bad dream. His mother Sandy is the master of the Travis house - with a healthy drug habit, a decade long grudge, and a secret that is literally tearing her apart. His father Ben is a shell of the man he once was, crippled by circumstance and blind to the mistakes of his past. But in typical American style, the Travises aren't depressed - they're living their lives in a forlorn haze. As painful revelations are made that threaten to divide the family, moments of laughter and truth provide the salve that ultimately bring them closer together. (read more)

Let me start by saying that there are problems with this movie that most people will pick on. Namely, they're most likely not going to like the family members' reactions to the suicide of the middle (and most exalted) son. Father Ben (Daniels) turns into a flat-out bastard, mother Sandy (Weaver) tries holding them together, moody son Tim (Hirsch) takes every...

This almost heart breaking film about a film having to deal with a tragedy that no family should have to face, yet many do, was a truly good experience watching. Emile Hirsch did an excellent job playing a teenager who was forced with having to over come this experience, and experimenting with new things. Sigourney Weaver...

I really thought the trailer for this movie looked great and so I was amped to see it. After being dissapointed so many times by trailers though, I didn't get my hopes too far up.
However, this movie went leaps and bounds over what the trailer said it would be. I'm not even sure where to begin talking about it. I guess...
