Flight of the Phoenix (2004)
An action-adventure in which a group of air crash survivors - cast-offs from society who will never be missed - are stranded in the Mongolian desert with no hope of rescue. As they attempt to build a new plane from the wreckage of the old one, in hopes of flying back to civilization, they experience a rebirth of their own. (read more)

Sure it has Dennis Quaid (The Big Easy), Giovanni Ribisi (Saving Private Ryan), Tyrese Gibson (Four Brothers), and Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King), but it also had Hugh Laurie from House. That's enough to get me to watch, no matter what.

Flight of the Phoenix is a remake of the 1965 movie with Jimmy Sterwart. This is a really good movie, fun to watch, with some good effects and some great actors including Dennis Quaid, Miranda Otto and Giovanni Ribisi. This isn't an action galore movie, but it is good and fun to watch, and is worth seeing.
