  Shaun of the Dead (2004)

On Friday, Shaun is in a rut. At 29, he's coasted through life – and still hasn't gotten very far, usually winding up at the local pub, the Winchester. His roommate Ed looks up to him – when he can take his eyes off the TV, that is. Liz is re-evaluating their relationship. Saturday, there are train delays, people fainting in the streets, TV news reports of unexplained calamities – and did that homeless man just try to eat a...? No, it can't be... But, it is – the dead have risen. Saturday's isolated incidents mushroom into a full-on zombie assault and, once daylight breaks, it's Sunday bloody Sunday. Shaun and Ed grab whatever is at hand to repel the attacking zombies, summoning reserves of strength they didn't know they possessed and straining muscles they forgot they had. Rounding up friends and family, they press on towards the sanctuary of the Winchester. All that stands (or lopes) in their way are hordes of the flesh-eating undead... (read more)

Shaun of the Dead Movie Review by Zara (1/25/2007)

It's another thing entirely to watch a good zombie movie that manages to encompass an entire range of human emotions, from terror to laughter to heartbreak. Shaun of the Dead is one such zombie movie...with an emphasis on laughter as this is, after all, primarily a comedy. And a...

Shaun of the Dead Movie Review by BillyJean (10/9/2009)

Eh!? Hello!? You call that speaking English, my little, Limey Darlings!?

Umm... All joking aside - For all of the big, bloody, bloated fuss that's been made over this one - Well - Uh - Sorry - But this girl found Shaun of the Dead (SOTD) to be way-way too over-rated for its own bloody good. Yep. It sure was.

One of my...

Shaun of the Dead Movie Review by Chris (12/28/2007)

With the sudden rush for spoof movies to be made, most of them are absoulutely horrible. Shaun of The Dead is a perfectly great spoof film. George A. Romeros Dawn of The Dead and Zack Snyders remake of Dawn of The Dead are both spoofed on in this britich comedy. Starring just about everyone from the new Hot Fuzz, which was...

Shaun of the Dead Movie Review by Dawn (5/19/2007)

I've never really been a big zombie movie fan. It isn't the rampant violence, blood and gore that bothers me. It's more the predictability...

...infection starts... infection spreads... hero and group of friends/strangers band together to survive... member of group gets infected... much blood, gore, brain eating......
