  I Heart Huckabees (2004)

Albert Markovski (Jason Schwartzman), head of the Open Spaces Coalition, has been experiencing an alarming series of coincidences the meaning of which escapes him. With the help of two Existential Detectives, Bernard and Vivian Jaffe (Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin), Albert examines his life, his relationships, and his conflict with Brad Stand (Jude Law), an executive climbing the corporate ladder at Huckabees, a popular chain of retail superstores. When Brad also hires the detectives, they dig deep into his seemingly perfect life and his relationship with his spokesmodel girlfriend, the voice of Huckabees, Dawn Campbell (Naomi Watts). Albert pairs up with rebel firefighter Tommy Corn (Mark Wahlberg) to take matters into their own hands under the guidance of the Jaffes' nemesis, the French radical Caterine Vauban (Isabelle Huppert). This existential comedy is directed by David O. Russell, director of 'Three Kings', 'Flirting With Disaster' and 'Spanking The Monkey'.

I Heart Huckabees Movie Review by Zara (3/15/2007)

I could give you the rundown on everything in this movie that rocked, but there have been 7 other very positive reviews which have come before me. So here's what I liked.

Jason Schwartzman is hot. He is the hottest 5'6" Italian/Jew that I have ever seen in my life and he is delicious in this. I'd be more than happy to be...

I Heart Huckabees Movie Review by AJ (4/13/2006)

It is a very rare feat indeed when a filmmaker can espouse philosophical wonderings and rumblings and tack onto that all kinds of existential beliefs, and still manage to create a bevy of realistic characters and wonderful humor without wrapping it all up in a cloth of pretentiousness so that everything is drowned out....

I Heart Huckabees Movie Review by Josh (12/18/2004)

I heart I Heart Huckabees

I enjoyed this movie more than any I have seen in the last three or four years. Absolutely brilliant. You see, I like to talk about "the mind". I am that guy at the party who is always talking about sh*t that you find sort of irrelevant and weird, yet interesting. Well, this is a movie about...

I Heart Huckabees Movie Review by Corey (11/10/2004)

To "Huckabee" or Not To "Huckabee"?

Damn my titles are getting weaker (2nd place: Wherefore I Heart Thou?); I feel like the crazy grandfather elbowing you for a laugh.

Have you ever had that odd, seemingly unique NYC experience of running into an acquaintance or seeing the same stranger on the street at two different...

I Heart Huckabees Movie Review by Seth (11/2/2004)

This movie f*cking rocks.

Partly philosophical and partly comedic, this film is a beautiful mixture of many different unique elements. David O. Russell has a gift for making movies outside of the box and doing an unbelievable job at it. This film is different from every other movie he's made (as have each of them been),...
