First Daughter (2004)
Samantha Mackenzie (Katie Holmes) has fame and glamour, but she just wants what every college freshman wants: the opportunity to experience the world away from home and, most importantly, away from her parents. She just wants to be treated like anyone else. To be... normal.

Directed by underrated actor Forest Whitaker, and boasting a very nice supporting turn by Michael Keaton as the President of the United States, one reaches the conclusion that First Daughter has the best of intentions in its soapy little heart, but for the life of it, it can't rise above its genre's predilections.
