Monster 2003

description written by member Zara:

Aileen Wuornos (Charlize Theron, in an Oscar-winning performance) faced difficult odds early in life, abusing drugs and becoming a prostitute (and pregnant) by the age of 13. Wuornos moved from Michigan to Florida where she continued to ply her "trade," specializing in a clientele consisting mainly of truck drivers. It was during that time that she began murdering any "John" who tried to rape her. Christina Ricci co-stars in this true story.

Monster Movie Review by BillyBob (6/23/2010)

Now, this was one brutal (and I do mean "brutal") movie. But, with that said, it was also a curiously fascinating film, as well.

Without question, it was CHARLIZE THERON's rough'n'raw, no-holds-barred portrayal of AILEEN WUORNOS that utterly astounds the viewer in MONSTER.

MONSTER is an incredibly dark and disturbing...

it should come as no real shock to any true movie lover that charlize theron won best actress at the academy award in 2004 not to mention all the awards she won prior to that such as the golden globe award. considered by many to be one of the top ten performances of all times, charlize theron gives us a shocking yet...

Monster Movie Review by Movie Addict (3/17/2007)

I was entranced by Charlize Theron's impersonation of Aileen Wuornos in this film. She carried home an entire shelf full of awards for her performance and she earned every single one of them. The prosthetic makeup that transformed the gorgeous actress into a bedraggled, weather-beaten street person was uncannily good at...

Monster Movie Review by Jesse (1/14/2007)

A terrific biopic on prostitute turned serial killer Aileen Wuornos. I hate to say this, but I love the character Aileen. There is something about her that is so unique and it makes her different from any other characters I have seen on film. She was an interesting human.

Charlize Theron played this role to perfection....
