Uptown Girls (2003)

Molly Gunn (Brittany Murphy) is a Manhattan rich girl who's never had to work hard in her life … that is, until her rock-star dad dies and her inheritance vanishes into thin air. Now, she has to find a way to make a living and pay the bills. The solution? Become a nanny. But Molly soon discovers she's in way over her head when she starts caring for an 8-year-old (Dakota Fanning) who's woefully neglected by her parents.

I am growing tired of good stories being wasted on fade-away comedies, however that's what we get once again with "Uptown Girls." I would have loved to have seen a substance filled story about a rock star's young daughter, who would likely live more of a Paris Hilton lifestyle than a Stella McCartney one which, in the end,...

I thought this movie would be good...but it was cheesy..I liked some of the parts with Brittany and the girl..but Heather Locklear was really good in the very small part she had. She plays a good b*tch. :-)) That's why she was so good on Melrose Place. :-D
