Actually this is my favorite performance of Philip Seymour Hoffman. You know how you watch a film and an actor that you have seen time and time again from that point on starts to seem really important to you? This film did that to me for Hoffman. He is just amazing. He actually won 2 awards for best actor at two film...

This was one of those movies where the performance of the lead actor was highly touted by the famed critics, talking about how Philip Seymour Hoffman really nailed the pain and frustration of a character in debt up to his ears and desperate to try and absolve the situation.
