House of 1000 Corpses (2003)

Two couples are traveling across the country and see a roadside
attraction called "Captain Spaulding's Gasoline and Chicken" Inside
is a museum dedicated to every freaky thing you can think of. Captain
Spaulding (Sid Haig) tells them about local legend Dr. Satan. The kids
go to see the tree where Dr. Satan was hung and on the way they have a
flat tire and are taken hostage by a family of sadistic freaks. (read more)

Excellent movie to watch for the Halloween season. Directed by none other than Rob Zombie, this film is creepy, demented, sadistic, violent, horrific, graphic, and thought provoking. This movie is NOT for people with a weak stomach. This is also NOT a kids movie. I would have to say this is one of the BEST horror films...

After forcing myself to sit all the way through this ugly, hateful flick, I now know why that little momma's boy, ROBERT KUMMINGS(sic), changed his name to ROB ZOMBIE.

I was a big fan of roadside tourist attractions/traps until I saw this movie. The Ripley's Believe it or Not Wax Museum, the Mystery Spot in California and any other such oddity seemed so cool to be, but now I think I will just avoid any place like that. This movie officially goes to the top of the list for most hated...

You would think by now that those young people would stay the hell off the back roads in Texas. I've traveled them North to South and East to West, and I can assure you that there are things you don't want to see.

Wish I could say the critics were all wrong on this one, but.... To paraphrase Ghost World, it's so bad it's good, but then goes on back to bad. Still, kind of fun in a "Hey, look at the train wreck!" kind of way.
