Dreamcatcher (2003)
Four young friends perform a heroic act and are changed forever by the uncanny powers they gain in return. There are aliens from another planet infesting our butts!
Yeah, the concept is a little more than implausible, even for Stephen King. But I still think this is one of the most fun and funny pieces of crap that has been produced in a long time. I still think it's funny to call it crap considering how the monsters crawl out...

The first thing that drew me to "Dreamcatcher" was the phenomenal cast director Lawrence Kasdan somehow put together; personal favorites like Jason Lee and Donnie Wahlberg together with well-respected actors Tom Sizemore, Thomas Jane and "Band of Brothers'" Damian Lewis. I saw this one in the theater, but recently got it on a Stephen King comp. disc.
I liked it okay, but just okay. I can't compare it to the book, because this is one of the few King books I haven't read.
A bunch of friends have some limited psychic ability, due to their interaction with a developmentally disabled man...

Like Gigli, I should have believed the hype on this one. When the best thing I can say for a film is "cool special effects", it's just not very good. This one is just plain annoying, combining all of the worst things about Stephen King movies, without any of the good.
