Daredevil (2003)

Based on the comic book of the same name, the superhero here is a kid who was blinded by radioactive waste and grows up to be a lawyer with super enhanced senses that he uses to track down his father's killer.

.. of being ridiculed for liking this movie. From what I have seen, it has been met with mixed reviews and was ultimately considered a flop at the box offices. This is one of those comic book movies made by and starring fans of the subject. When I see movies like that I realize they are going to be met with criticism...

This is a hard movie to nail down.
The Daredevil comic has always fed off of a rather exclusive, more mature, fan base, unlike the more high-profile fellow New York dwelling web-slinger. Because of this reason Daredevil was never going to get the treatment that Spider-man got.

I am a big Marvel movie guy, from X-men series, The Punisher and everything else. Daredevil was one of the best Marvel movies I have ever seen. Mark Steven Johnson directs this Marvel classic, putting Daredevil into amazing fight scenes and showing us the rise of Elektra.

I have a feeling I am going to say a few things that may upset and bamboozle some people. I have the distinct impression that I could be setting myself up for a torrent of abuse. I think a lot of people are going to think that I am just plain wrong. I love this movie. Mostly for all the reasons that everybody else hates...
