Not many people saw this film when it came out, I saw it in Berkeley, CA and loved it; at times it is hard to watch and very depressing, especially benidcio del toro's part as a soon to be released ex con, but as usual he delivers as well as naomi watts and sean penn who I am not a fan of. I won't tell you where the title...

When this movie was first released, it got a great deal of buzz about being ground-breaking, emotionally stirring, etc etc etc. There were even a couple of Oscar nominations thrown in for good measure. (Naomi Watts for Best Actress and Benicio Del Toro for Best Supporting Actor)
