Well, color me surprised: The Ring is actually scary.
I was skeptical due to the recent spate of weak, bland horror movies ---- Feardotcom, Red Dragon ---- but this one provokes genuine chills and doesn't waste a lot of time with flashy, pointless scenes to make the viewer jump like so many movies these days. And ... but...

just rented the rind last night, creepy as ever, love the who movie from start to finish, no no lag time anywhere, the story line easy to follow and the who look and feel of it keeps the hair on the back of your neck standing the entier time, even better with the lights off....tottally ranks amoung the best horror flicks...
