This is an OK movie, but Witherspoon is really poorly cast. I still think she's better when she's playing rough around the edges characters.
The cast is mainly English and the actors are top quality, but the movie feels forced because of it trying to cater to a modern day audience.
This would be a good back-up movie, but...

One of Oscar Wilde's greatest works is almost perfectly pulled off in this screen adaptation.
The casting is good, though the obviously not British Reese Witherspoon is a questionable choice for Cecily.
The other actors shine in this comedy about names, birthrights and sex. Wilde's words remain as deliciously bad today...
