Just as A Bug's Life was a computer-animated comedy inspired by Akira Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai, the funny and often enthralling Ice Age is a digital re-imagining of the Western Three Godfathers. Even before this movie was released, all people saw in theaters during previews was the adorable little pre-historic squirrel (is there such a thing?) known as Scrat as he tried desperately to retrieve his precious nut.
Unfortunately, that was only a small part of this movie. I think if the whole movie revolved around...
