Boring, depressing, agonizing to sit through. The fact that Nicole Kidman won an Oscar for her role in this movie made me scream and throw the TV Guide at the screen.
While everyone involved is a good actor/actress the movie loses its message (whatever the f*ck that was supposed to be) by jumping around from depressing...

One of the best movies in recent years because it captures intensely female experiences.
I have read the book and the screen adaptation completely lives up to it. Nicole Kidman is brilliant as the tragic genius Virginia Woolf. She offers a new take on a woman so many would love to know better.

The Hours is an astounding film, emotionally powerful and dramatic.
The performances are stellar, especially an unrecognizable Nicole Kidman, who deservedly won an Academy Award for her role as Virginia Woolf.
