Long and awkwardly handled, and hopelessly melodramatic, this film is one of the worst I've ever seen. I'm talkin' pitifully bad. It's the worst kind of war picture -- it totally lacks conviction. Ron Maxwell directs, adapting a novel by Jeff Sharra, supporting the movie with little more than stagy scenes underscored...

This was an Excellent movie. Quite long. Reason most people disliked the movie---NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT, and showed Southern side of events. Critics deliberately gave it bad reviews, hoping to try and kill attendance to movie. Music was awesome and was historically quite correct. Most critics today could not believe...
