Bubba Ho-tep (2002)

Don Coscarelli directs and Bruce Campbell stars as the King of Camp in this intentionally over-the-top schlockfest. Bubba Ho-Tep is partially about Elvis Presley and partially about the title character, an Egyptian cowboy zombie, but mostly it is about camp. The movie is equal parts story and back story. We learn through narration and flashback how Elvis didn't really die, ending up instead in a rest home in East Texas with JFK (played by Ossie Davis), who was dyed black and had his brain removed, presumably for reasons of national security. Campbell and Davis realize that something strange is going on when their rest-home...

Bruce Campbell plays a 70-year-old Elvis Presley in a retirement home who joins forces with Ossie Davis, who believes himself to be JFK "dyed black", to battle an ancient cowboy mummy. Need I say more?

Every once in a while a movie comes a long with a plot that is so extremely stupid, you just can't help yourself but to watch it. That movie is Bubba Ho-Tep.
Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead fame, stars as Elvis Presley... Yes I said it Elvis Presley. An older Elvis that is with a cancer growing on his *cough cough* genital...
