Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)

Like the video game series it's based on, Tomb Raider is best enjoyed for its physical strategies, since even casual scrutiny of story details will induce a headache. It's more concerned with puzzles than plot, populated with characters that don't have personalities so much as attitudes. I think Angelina Jolie as Laura Croft is one of the best casting decisions Hollywood has ever made. I cannot think of someone that could fit the part better to match the character from the popular video game series. That's about the only thing they got right though.....

There doesn't have to be a lot of story to get me to spend 100 minutes watching Angelina Jolie. I really can't think of a better use of my time. There is just no one who looks better in an Indiana Jones type role. She is incredibly perfect.
There was, however, enough story and some incredible special effects that made...
